* I don’t have enough time * I have too much to do * I’m fine, I’m fine, I’ve got it *
Sound familiar? With Thanksgiving already over and the holiday season hustle in full force, we have a special request:
This year we want you to slow down and take some extra time to connect in with yourself and really feel thankful for YOU.
As moms, we are so freaking good at giving love to others, but seem to struggle when it comes to giving love to ourselves.
So many of us have this idea that it’s selfish and we need to focus on everyone else.
But loving yourself is the most important thing you can do.
Seeing and honoring all that you’ve been through to get where you are.
Acknowledging both the easy, fun times and the hard, painful times.
Honoring every step of the journey that you’ve taken to get here.
Kelle and Nina, for real? Love myself? Isn’t that a little shmoopy? Indulgent? Selfish even?
Maybe. What’s wrong with being indulgent and selfish?
Sometime this week, find a quiet place, whether that’s your bedroom before everyone else is awake, your closet during a little break in the day’s activities, or getting in your car and driving to a quiet spot somewhere (we love solo car time!).
Once you’re in that quiet place, we want you to close your eyes, let go of the clench, and take the time to see yourself. Really see yourself.
See all of your beautiful intricacies.
Your highs and your lows, your good times and your bad, the moments you’re proud of and the ones you’d rather shy away from – and we want you to allow and accept ALL of it.
And allow yourself to be grateful for what shines for you. Gratitude, appreciation, helps us all water the flowers instead of the weeds. And when we need to hustle, we want to do it with gratitude and acceptance and grace. Or else it's meaningless.
Meaningful hustle rocks. Meaningless hustle sucks.
It’s your choice. You always have a choice. If you need help making the shift, we're here for you. Click here.
