What it means when you ask for help

Feb 14, 2022

You may have a ski coach.

Or an executive coach.

So why not a life coach?

Just like ski coaches help you uplevel the way you ski, and executive coaches help you uplevel your career, life coaches help you uplevel your life.

Coaching is about interrupting unhelpful patterns -

And bridging the gap between intention and action.

We all have room to grow.

As high-achieving, kickass women, we worry that when we ask for help, it makes us look weak.

A client recently said she didn’t want people to know that she was getting coached -- like that meant something about her.

“It feels like I’m showing people that I’m not as strong as they think I am.”

She asked us for help and she wasn’t sure she wanted to admit that.

But here’s the thing.

She wasn’t getting help because there was something wrong with her.

She was getting help to grow into that next kickass version of herself.

She made the decision to write her next chapter, not let the circumstances of her life write it for her. Where she’s the hero of her story. Unapologetically.

She didn’t need our help. She wanted our help.

Listen up y’all. You don’t need to be fixed - nothing’s broken here.

You need to shift. To make different choices. To take your life back.

Asking for help means you want more.

You want to break patterns. Get unstuck.

You want to be the best human you can be.

And, you showing up for you - serving yourself first - serves everyone around you.

You first. Them second. With love.

There’s only upside.
